Unlike the other Harmony remotes, such as the Harmony One, the Harmony 650 has no touchscreen. It’s not rechargeable, and is limited to only 5 devices at a time. However as with the other Harmony remotes, it can be programmed through a computer, and the devices it controls can be controlled through ‘Activities’.
Some of the devices that can be controlled through the Harmony 650, are Tvs, cable boxes, DVRs, Home theater amplifiers, and DVD/BluRay players. The buttons on the Harmony 650, make controls of these devices very simple. Every button is located on the remote in a position where they are easy to find. The buttons are also backlit, so they are easy to see.
Since the remote is not rechargeable it runs on two AA batteries. This is seen as an advantage, since AA batteries are simple to replace, and they can be found in any everyday store.
